About the event
Join us for this popular Hands-on Italian cookie class where we will make Cuccidati, the famous Sicilian fig cookie (predecessor to the Fig Newton) that is extremely popular and traditional around the Christmas holidays. Learn from Cuccidati experts, Gary Pedone and fellow LISJ Board Member, Teri Ann Bengiveno, how to make the dough and filling, shape the cookies, bake them, and frost them so you can take home a tin full of these delectable treats. Our guest instructors have mastered the process, so you will be taking home a very high quality and delicious product. The process to make these cookies is time-consuming, so plan to stay a little longer if needed to complete all the steps. This is a fun group activity, so when making these at home, gather your friends and family to collaborate, and make special memories for years to come.
