About the event
In this part hands-on, part demonstration class, I’m bringing Sicily to you in three of its delicious and beloved dishes. Since Sicily is known for its love of eggplants, we will learn to make delicious Caponata, a sweet and sour eggplant-based appetizer or side dish that will leave you wondering how it has been missing in your life for so long! We will follow that up with Sicily’s iconic pasta dish, Pasta alla Norma, made with a delicious red sauce with fried eggplant cubes that is fast and easy to make and absolutely delectable. Your family will love it! We will end the evening with Cannoli, Sicily’s most famous dessert. We will fill our own pre-made cannoli shells with a sweetened ricotta filling and dip the ends in chocolate chips and/or crushed pistachio.
