About the event
This is a part Hands-on and part Demonstration-style class where Anna infuses warm Southern Italian hospitality into some iconic dishes of this geographical area (il Mezzogiorno). We will be making famous Taralli from the Puglia region. These crunchy, cracker-like bread rings are perfect to serve with antipasto or as a mid-day snack with a glass of wine. You will be making the dough, rolling it out, and forming little rings which will then be baked during class. They are delicious and you will be taking some home for your family to try. While those bake, Anna will be demonstrating how to make one of Italy’s most famous pasta dishes, Pasta alla Norma. This incredibly delicious dish comes from the enchanting island of Sicily, where the food is intense, creative, and satisfying.
